Our Story

Since 13 years old, I always knew I wanted to do hair, since then, I have spanned the hair spectrum and have gone from no hair my college days when I rocked a short fade to bushy afro. As my hair transformed, I kept realizing that all of the products I was using, was causing damaging effects on my hair and scalp, thus my sojourn began to find a Healthy and Safe alternative to what was on the market. Fast forward to the present, and I am happy to say, not only did I find an alternative for my hair and scalp, I also found an alternative for entire body. It is from that journey, that today I bring to you The Good Hair Shop and NUMA Organic Handmade Goodness, a family owned business, designed to bring all natural and all organic products to revitalize your Hair, Mind,Body,Soul and Spirit. The Good Hair Shop,a salon and retail shop created for the individuals who are comfortable with there natural selves because Here,everybody has Good Hair:)

We are honored that you chose us to bless your crown. In order to serve you better, please take a moment to create a customer profile to book an appointment at your convenience.This will allow you complete access to our calendar and availability.The Good Hair Shop values the time of all our guests. We do not "doublebook." Consultations. Consultations are complimentary with a minimum product purchase of $30.00.All first time clients are required to schedule a consultaion and deposit must be made online or in store. No appointments will be accepted without a deposit.During this time, we will assess your hair texture and discuss your healthy hair goals and make product/ style reccomendations.Appointments. Upon scheduling your appointment, a $30.00 booking fee will be charged and must be paid before your time is reserved online.. Any appointments made online without a deposit will be immediately voided.Cancellations or rescheduling received in less than 72 hours will have a $25.00 cancellation fee charged .Cancellations received less than 72 hours for Fridays or Saturdays will be charged a cancellation fee of $50.00. Any "no calls or no shows" will not be serviced in the future.Before you reschedule your appointment, please take down your previous hair style.There is an additional fee of$30.00 for styles that recquire braids/twists to be taken down.
